On March 6, 2024, Customs officers of the Customs Training Center took part in the distance learning of instructors/trainers on the topic “Modern teaching methodology”, organized by the Regional Office of the European Union (EU) Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia - Phase 10 (BOMCA 10).

The online training was conducted as part of the Training Course Plan for 2024, compiled following the Regional Seminar of the Consortium of Heads of Educational Institutions of Border and Customs Agencies, held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on October 31 - November 2, 2023.

As part of this training course (1 working day/8 working hours), a representative of the Border Academy of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted training on modern teaching methods in order to improve the qualifications of trainers, as well as the teaching staff of Central Asian departments.

The main goal of the Consortium of Heads of Educational Institutions of Border and Customs Agencies, operating within the framework of BOMCA 10, is to promote cooperation and exchange of experience between educational institutions in Central Asia on improving the efficiency of the training system, as well as introducing innovative methods into the educational process of customs and border agencies. The consortium also facilitates the exchange of teachers between beneficiary departments. To carry out the exchange, annual Cooperation Plans are developed indicating specific topics and forms of implementation (e-learning, on-site training, study tours).
