The activities of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan in 2024 are focused on the introduction of digital technologies, modernization of customs posts and their re-equipment with the latest inspection equipment in order to achieve maximum simplification of customs operations and facilitate the movement of goods and vehicles across the customs borders of Turkmenistan.

With the launch of the "Single Window for Export-Import Operations" system, the efficiency and effectiveness of customs posts has increased, which has a positive effect on the growth of cargo transportation through our country. There is an increase in trade turnover with almost all neighboring states.

For example, the total trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Iran for 6 months of this year compared to the same period in 2023 increased by 35%, Afghanistan by 27%, Uzbekistan by 19%. The total volume of sea freight transport for January-June 2024 compared to the same period in  2023 amounted increased by 8.2%.
