Intellectual Property Rights Regional Workshop

On August 27-29, 2019, in Cholpon Ata, the Kyrgyz Republic hosted a regional seminar on intellectual property rights, organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. The seminar was attended by representatives of relevant structures and departments of Central Asian countries, including representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The purpose of the seminar is to discuss issues related to intellectual property rights, the mutual exchange of experience, as well as the study of international practice in this area.

Experts from the World Customs Organization acted as lecturers. They presented reports covering various aspects of intellectual property rights, spoke about new counterfeit goods, did product analysis, gave a description of the situation in the world.

Representatives of the countries participating in the seminar presented brief reports on the main indicators of national structures and on approaches in intellectual property departments.
