On October 25, 2025, as part of the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, to the Italian Republic, a significant event took place to advance international customs cooperation. The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs and Monopolies Agency of the Italian Republic signed a Joint Declaration on Future Cooperation.

The document opens new opportunities for interaction between the two countries in the field of customs regulation and confirms the readiness of both sides to strengthen their partnership.
