Customs officers from the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan took part in the Gender-Sensitive Trade Facilitation training module

From June 14-18th, 2021, the International Trade Center organized a regional workshop on Gender-Sensitive Trade Facilitation under the Ready4Trade-Central Asia (R4TCA) project funded by the European Union. The regional workshop was attended by representatives of the customs services of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. This event is part of the gender component of the R4TCA project, which aims to empower women-led businesses to participate in international trade. During the workshop, ITC experts made presentations on the Gender-Sensitive Trade Facilitation training module, and then during the practice session, participants had the opportunity to practice introducing these training modules on their own.

From Lebap entrepreneurs to the world market

In the issue of creation of legal basis for the development and support of private property by the state and an economic system based on innovative technologies, export-oriented and import-substituting products have begun to develop widely. These reforms, as in all parts of our country, increasingly expanded the possibilities of private enterprises and businessmen, working in Lebap region to provide the population with food and other essential products. The range of goods exported from Turkmenistan is expanding

With the approval of state programs for import substitution and increasing the export of domestic products, an increase in exported goods is observed in Turkmenistan. The implementation of these programs ensured the dynamic development of the industrial complex, new opportunities and conditions are being created for industrialists and entrepreneurs. A scientific approach is taken to improve exported goods and create new types. Positive results were achieved through work on replacing industrial, household and food products with local ones. The aforesaid is convincingly illustrated by the positive dynamics of indicators of goods registered under the export customs regime in the area of activity of the Akhal Velat customs, produced by individual enterprise (IE) M. Orazov.

The Interdepartmental Commission for the Coordination of the work of the system "Single Window for Export-Import Operations" continues its work

On May 28, 2021, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan hosted the 3rd meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Coordination of the work of the system "Single Window for Export-Import Operations" (Interdepartmental Commission). Except members of the Interdepartmental Commission, representatives of the UN Development Program and the Turkmen Association of International Road Carriers (THADA) also took part in the work of the third meeting.
