Revision of the Turkmen customs legislation

On April 20, 2022, changes to the Customs Code of Turkmenistan came into force. The Law of Turkmenistan On Amendments to the Customs Code of Turkmenistan was approved by the fifth session of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan of the first convocation, held on April 16, 2022.

The issues of introducing digital technologies into the system of customs procedures in the seaport "Turkmenbashi" were discussed

On April 11, 2022, an interdepartmental working meeting on the simplification of customs procedures in the international seaport "Turkmenbashi" was held in the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. The meeting was attended by representatives of the State Customs Service, Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, customs brokers carrying out customs operations in the international seaport "Turkmenbashi", as well as specialists from the Business entities "Sanly Çözgüt IT meýdança" and "Asman oky", participating in the field of digitalization of customs procedures.

Turkmen customs officers got acquainted with the Georgian experience of implementing the Single Window system

On April 5, 2022, online working meeting was held between customs officials of Turkmenistan and Georgia, during which the participants exchanged practical experience in implementing the Single Window system. The meeting was held at the initiative of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
